In this lecture, author will talk about formerly enslaved Elizabeth Keckley and her role in the Aboltionist Movement during the Civil War while working as the official White House dressmaker to First Lady Mary Todd Lincoln and how she influenced American Fashion and becoming the nation's 1st Haute Couturier in recorded history.
