Out of Carmen Evelyn’s two greatest passions, 

Lit & Lyric was born.

A monthly pop-up literary salon in the heart of Los Angeles, CA that brings together books and music. Each gathering pairs a book with a song, creating an intimate evening where literature and music speak to one another through guided discussion, listening,

and thoughtful conversation.  

Our community includes lovers of literature and poetry, fans of music, artists, writers, scholars, and everyday people who find meaning in the dialogue between page and sound.  

Ultimately, Lit & Lyric is for anyone who believes that stories and music share the same heartbeat— revealing who we are,

where we come from, and the emotional truths that connect us.
